A Tour Like No Other
Every farm tour at Bauchops Hill Station is personally led by Dion, owner and working high-country farmer.
Unlike a standard guided tour, every experience is tailored to what’s happening on the farm that day. Depending on the season, you might watch working dogs move stock, feed young animals, see sheep shearing, or experience other daily farm activities.
One of the highlights is travelling through historic Mackenzie Pass, where Dion shares the fascinating story of James Mackenzie and his loyal sheepdog, Friday, while taking in the spectacular scenery of the Mackenzie Country.
Because this is a genuine working station, no two tours are ever the same—giving every guest an authentic insight into New Zealand high-country farming.
